Braille @ The Novem Store
Bryan “Braille” Winchester was born and raised in Portland, OR. He’s been making hiphop music for around 14 years and his first album dropped in 1999. In 2004 he began getting more attention when his second album “Shades of Grey” dropped – featuring contributions from 9th Wonder, Rob Swift, Supastition, Pigeon John, Illmind and more. In 2005 he was named one of the “NEXT 100″ by Urb Magazine and was invited to tour as the opening act for the late great James Brown. In 2008 he dropped his forth solo record “The IV Edition” which put him in the media eye even more. He was featured in The Source Magazine, he performed on the Fox show “Fearless Music”, his song “The IV” was featured in the EA Sports video game “NBA Live 2009″ and his song “Keep On” was featured on the Transworld Skate Video “A Time to Shine”. Braille has been averaging around 100 shows per year and handles most of his booking himself. He maintains a close relationship with his audience and connects with crowds using his unique brand of passionate lyricism. In 2009 Braille dropped another record titled “CloudNineteen” produced entirely by S1 of Strange Fruit Project. The duo has set a goal to give away 30,000 copies of this album and is making it available for free to everyone in attendance at all their shows.
Braille will be at The Novem Store May 28th from 6-8pm handing out FREE COPIES of the new album to everyone that comes through.
