“Are white women the only women that throw themselves at Tiger Woods -or- is he RACIST?”

“Tiger Woods’ Swedish wife along with Holly, Mindy, Jamie, Cori, Jamie #2, Rachel, Kalika and the other three ‘unidentified mistresses’ 8 through 10, are unmistakably of European descent. The fact is that from what we can tell, they (excluding his wife) should be called ‘the brunette mistresses’ (to include his identified ‘UK mistress’ who appears to have brown eyebrows). Personally, I believe that Tiger is entitled to his own privacy, that the exploitation of the media is unnecessary and that this is another example of how our society can indecently act upon the quality of life of a fellow American.

But hey, if the media wants to cover this story… I’m going to ask the questions that they’re too embarrassed to ask. ‘ARE WHITE WOMEN THE ONLY WOMEN THROWING THEMSELVES AT TIGER WOODS (who is the first athlete to gross a billion dollars, the best golfer ever and of some African descent)?’ or ‘IS TIGER WOODS RACIST?’

The media will not for one second suggest that Tiger Woods is one of the most popular sex figures among white women in 2009, even if he is by a LANDSLIDE. The race-card will never be pulled in the complication of this escapade and no one will ever ask how he was capable of breaking a barrier of race that felt inconceivable for some in the years that Woods was born. The fact remains that there aren’t too many women of other races HOPING out of their corners of the earth to confess that they are addicted to Tiger’s Wood (pun intended). So what does this suggest about the idea of race in America today?

Secondly, if this isn’t solely an epidemic of white women being outrageously attracted to DORKY, GOLF-PLAYING, 32-YEAR OLD-BILLIONAIRE TIGER WOODS, is he racist? If women of all races, nationalities and religions are following in suit of his mistresses and he’s just “acting against” having the great taste of diversity -HE SUCKS-. Naturally I will admit that after he has spent years in his profession and witnessed his coworkers (or contenders) significant others at work -Tiger may have experienced a limit to the BIRDS (if you will) that are readily available to him-. I won’t go detailed into the capability of a man that can consistently talk to 11 women in a year but I will say, ‘YOU’RE A BILLIONAIRE, IT SHOULD BE LIKE BASKIN ROBINS 31 FLAVORS FOR YOU. YOU FAILED and the MEDIA FAILED TOO’.”

The South Side Community Art Center is located at 3831 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Built in 1893 as a residence for grain merchant George Seaverns, the building remains the Community Art Center that it was converted into in 1940. This integral piece of African American Art History was christened by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt in 1941 and has been home to Charles White, Bernard Goss, George Neal, Eldzier Cortor, Gordon Parks, Archibald Motley, Margaret Goss Burroughs and many other legends among the African American Art Communities of the Great Depression, Harlem Renaissance and surely every other time period since then and between. In short, one can only imagine the importance of this landmark to its community, city, country, friends and relatives of all that have come into contact with its art and purpose. It is said to arguably be “the oldest home of African American Art” in the WORLD.

On October 16^th, the South Side Community Art Center and WAP are introducing “Inside Out” as a second piece to their ongoing scheduled exhibit, “Demise”. Showcasing the work of Menace, Select Inverse and other creative residents of the “Windy City” the Center will be making history by installing graffiti in its facility for the first time.

“Menace” marks this as his 20^th year of being involved with painting and making art. As a student of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from the ages of 5 to 18 “Menace” participated in a Marshall Fields Holiday Window Display as his first reputable art exhibit at the age of 8. At “Inside Out” you will have the opportunity to experience the style of the art he creates outside and interact with him as he classically brush paints a section of the wall live, inside. The installation is going to be taken down and sliced into sections that will be sold to the public. All of the profits are going directly to the construction of a more durable gallery wall in the installations place. This show features an urban sticker art exhibit which host the work of “Select Inverse”, great music, various other street artists, along with a since of community that is unique, diverse and revolutionary.

Join us Friday October 16th from 6 to 9pm, while we not only tear down walls by “breaking artistic barriers to build new foundations”, but break down barriers of age, race, religion and social backgrounds in order to participate in the important history and future of the SSCAC.

Novem & Glitterguts Photo Booth Collabo!

This Summer Novem was given the opportunity to participate in 1 of the greatest Music Festivals to be hosted in our City. Thanks to Eric and Sarah at Glitterguts.com for calling Novem to collaborate with them on a FREE mobile photo-booth located in the South Lolla Lounge (VIP) of Lollapalooza 2009. I must say, that I’ve worked at some festivals but at this 1 there were: free booze, free food, a great view to catch the 2 of the 6 stages nearby, and need I say… ladies. Compared to the other NOVEMites I basically got a vacation while they were all hard at work (sorry fellas the next 1 is yours).

In order to make the most of the weekend, Novem gave away the FIREFLY LONGSLEEVE TEE during the cool rain on Friday. Our resident, DJ DEMCHUK and I made rounds throughout the park (backstage, media stations, and VIP’s included) giving away buttons and business cards to every face we met.

On Saturday we made a comeback with FREE MIDWEST BEST, EL and LANDMARK TANK TOPS to help the music lovers against the sweltering heat.

Then on Sunday Novem brought it together with some traditional live painting by yours truly. The interesting thing about the painting is that it was over the canvas of Abe Lincoln that I did at our 4^th of July Celebration and ended up to be a portrait of Snoop.

In all, the event was a success. After spending 2 days (Tuesday & Wednesday) painting the photo booth and 6 hours (Sunday) creating a portrait of “The D. O. double G”, Glitterguts got some quality photos; Novem made new fans of the hot gear, networked with some of the most serious music lovers in the world and Snoop got a business card while discussing what happens at the store.

Note: The painting was begun at noon on Sunday and completed at 6pm. Snoop performed at 6:30pm. He and Lady Rage rocked the rap set of a lifetime. Lastly the artwork covering the photo booth was by “your boy” as well and I’d like to personally thank everyone that stopped in and said hello or just brought us a few vodka-”whatever whatever’s”.
